Town of Ajax Quasi-judicial Board Application

Please complete this form if you are interested in being considered for appointment to a Town of Ajax Quasi-judicial Board. Please complete one submission for each committee of interest. 

The Town of Ajax is seeking applications from Town residents to be nominated for appointment to the following Quasi-judicial Boards:

  • Committee of Adjustment (5 appointments available)

    • The Committee of Adjustment is a body appointed by Town Council to consider requests for minor changes, or variance, to the Town's zoning by-law.

  • Property Standards/Animal Services Appeals Committee (5 appointments available)

    • The Town of Ajax Property Standards Appeal Committee / Animal Services Appeal Committee hears appeals from both property owners and dog owners who disagree with either a Property Standards Order or an Order to Restrain.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • a Town of Ajax resident or property owner
  • legally entitled to work in Canada
  • committed to attending monthly evening meetings at Ajax Town Hall
  • Preference may be given to candidates with backgrounds and disciplines related to the mandate of the respective committees.
