Please refer to the document titled Preparation of Required Drawing before submission. The drawing/plan must show the dimensions of the subject lands; the location, size and type of all buildings and structures on the subject lands; dimensions of all driveway and hard landscaping features; location of all municipal and infrastructure assets (street trees, public utilities, street light posts, fire hydrants, etc.); and the existing and proposed curb cut dimensions. All dimensions to be shown in Metric System. Plans submitted not following these requirements will be rejected.

The statements contained in this application are true and made with full knowledge of all matters and the circumstances connected with this application
 
I understand that the issuing of a permit does not relieve the owner from complying with all other applicable bylaws and/or regulations
 
The information included in this application and in the documents filed with this application are correct
 
I understand that the completed curb cut may differ from the proposed cut due to on-site implications
 
I understand that once received, I will be contacted by staff to pay an application fee, in accordance with the Town of Ajax General Fees and Charges. Review of the application will not begin, until payment is received in full.
 
Fees

Curb Cut Widening Fee (up to 4.0 meters) - $337.40

Additional Curb Cut Widening Fee (per additional meter) - $32.00

*For curb cuts related to monolithic curbs, a per square metre fee (plus HST) for curb/sidewalk requiring cutting/restoration will be charged based on actual cost.

Under routine circumstances, Town Staff will make every effort to respond to the Applicants within 10 business working days, by email, to communicate the status of this Curb Cut Application (approved/denied). Certain circumstances may delay the approval/denial process.

  1. The entire Curb Cut Application process, including the actual curb cut, may take up to 30 business days, provided the application submission review is acceptable.  If the Application submitted contains missing or incorrect information, it may delay the Curb Cut Application process and timelines. Certain circumstances may delay the entire Curb Cut Application process (example: new curb restoration requirement)

  2. Although the Town of Ajax will accept Curb Cut Applications throughout the year, the applications will not be reviewed within the 10 business working days (as noted in #1 above) from November to May

  3. The Town will normally commence curb cutting and/or curb restoration work from May to October each year. 

  4. All Applicants who are granted Curb Cutting Town Approval are to ensure there are no obstructions and the work area is clear along the curb in front of the applicable property to prevent any further delays.
