Fire Extinguisher Training Request Form

To request fire extinguisher training for your group, please complete the form below, and a Fire Prevention Inspector will contact you to review your request and determine a training date.

Important Information

  • The fire extinguisher training shall be conducted at a distance not less than five (5) metres from buildings, overhead wires, trees, shrubs, combustible ground cover and other combustibles.
  • Fire extinguisher training shall not be conducted when wind velocity is greater than fifteen (15) KM/ph.  Awareness of weather conditions, wind velocity and wind direction shall me maintained.
  • Keep observers a minimum of five (5) metres away. Measures shall be put in place to identify the training area perimeter.
  • NO FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING USING OPEN FLAME CAN TAKE PLACE WHEN A SMOG ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DURHAM REGION
